The PASS QUEST Shimano 2x Chainring Set is precision CNC-machined from a solid aluminum plate, combining a reinforced 5 mm structure with carefully designed weight-reduction features.

The large and small chainrings are engineered as a matched set for compatible Shimano cranksets, providing a coordinated design for reliable shifting performance and a clean, integrated appearance.

1. Model-Specific Crankset Compatibility

Different Shimano crankset generations feature different mounting arm shapes. Please check the following characteristics carefully before ordering:

• FC-5800 / FC-6800: Four mounting arms with no curved sections.

• FC-R7000 / FC-R8000 / FC-R9100: One curved section in the upper-right area.

• FC-R7100 / FC-R8100 / FC-R9200: Two curved sections, one in the upper-right area and one in the lower-right area.

2. Precision CNC-Machined Construction

Manufactured from a solid 5 mm-thick aluminum plate using precision CNC machining, the chainring set features carefully engineered structural details.

The reverse side is extensively hollowed and chamfered to reduce unnecessary weight while maintaining structural rigidity.

3. Reinforced Triangular Structure

The triangular textured structure is designed to balance rigidity and weight, providing a strong yet lightweight construction for everyday riding and demanding cycling conditions.

4. Original Matched 2x Chainring Set

The large and small chainrings are designed and matched to work together as a complete PASS QUEST 2x set.

Both chainrings must be used together as the original PASS QUEST matched pair.

Important: Do not mix chainrings from different brands or combine incompatible tooth combinations. Doing so may result in poor shifting performance or unreliable gear changes.

For optimal shifting performance, always use the complete original PASS QUEST 2x chainring set.

Installation Instructions

Follow these steps to correctly align the chainrings:

1. Position the Large Chainring: Align the positioning pin on the large chainring directly beneath the crank arm.

2. Align the Small Chainring: Position the alignment mark on the small chainring directly beneath the crank arm.

3. Align the Mounting Holes: Match the countersunk holes with the corresponding chainring bolt positions.

4. Secure the Chainrings: Install the mounting bolts and tighten them evenly according to the recommended torque specifications.

Please check that both chainrings are correctly aligned before completing installation.

Mounting Bolts and Tightening Torque

Standard mounting bolts are provided free of charge.

Recommended Tightening Torque: 6–8 N·m

Excessive tightening torque may damage the bolts, threads, or mounting components. Use a calibrated torque wrench and follow the applicable installation instructions.

Chainring bolts are precision components. Incorrect installation, cross-threading, or overtightening may cause damage.

Damage resulting from improper installation is subject to the applicable warranty terms.
