PASS QUEST Shimano 2x Fully Enclosed Chainring Set – 110 BCD
Fully Enclosed Design. Smooth Shifting. Precision Engineering.
The PASS QUEST Shimano 2x Fully Enclosed Chainring Set is precision CNC-machined from a solid aluminum plate. Featuring a fully enclosed design, carefully optimized material removal, and chamfered edges, it combines a refined appearance with a lightweight yet rigid structure.
The large and small chainrings are engineered as a matched set, with specially designed shifting features to support smooth chain engagement and reliable front shifting.
Key Features
1. Fully Enclosed CNC-Machined Design
Manufactured from a solid aluminum plate using precision CNC machining, the chainring set features a fully enclosed structure with carefully optimized material removal.
The rear structure is precision-machined and chamfered to reduce unnecessary weight while maintaining structural rigidity.
2. Optimized Shifting Structure
The chainring structure and tooth engagement features are carefully designed to support smooth chain movement between the large and small chainrings.
The optimized shifting design helps improve chain engagement and reduce the risk of chain drops and excessive chain noise during normal riding.
3. Specially Designed Shifting Pins
The specially shaped positioning and shifting pins are designed to guide the chain during front shifting.
These features help the chain engage more smoothly when moving between the large and small chainrings, supporting consistent and reliable shifting performance.
4. Versatile 2x Drivetrain Performance
A double-chainring system provides a wider range of gear ratios than many single-chainring configurations.
By combining different front chainring sizes with the rear cassette, riders can select suitable gear ratios for climbing, flat roads, and high-speed riding.
Shimano Crankset Compatibility
Different generations of Shimano 110 BCD cranksets feature different mounting arm shapes. Please check your crankset carefully before ordering.

-
FC-5800 / FC-6800: Four mounting arms without curved sections.
FC-R7000 / FC-R8000 / FC-R9100: One curved section in the upper-right area.
FC-R7100 / FC-R8100 / FC-R9200: Two curved sections, one in the upper-right area and one in the lower-right area.
-
Important: Please select the correct chainring version according to your exact crankset model. Not all Shimano 110 BCD cranksets are interchangeable.
Important: Original PASS QUEST Matched Pair Required
The large and small chainrings are precision-matched and designed to work together as a complete PASS QUEST 2x set.
Both chainrings must be used together as the original PASS QUEST matched pair.
Do not mix chainrings from different brands or combine incompatible tooth combinations. Doing so may result in poor shifting performance, unreliable gear changes, or drivetrain compatibility issues.
For optimal shifting performance, always use the complete original PASS QUEST 2x chainring set.

Understanding BCD
BCD (Bolt Circle Diameter) is the diameter of the imaginary circle passing through the centers of the chainring mounting bolt holes.
Please confirm the required BCD and mounting interface before ordering.
Installation Instructions
Follow these steps to correctly align the chainrings:
-
Position the Large Chainring: Align the positioning pin on the large chainring directly beneath the crank arm.
-
Align the Small Chainring: Position the alignment mark on the small chainring directly beneath the crank arm.
-
Align the Mounting Holes: Match the countersunk holes with the corresponding chainring bolt positions.
-
Secure the Chainrings: Install the mounting bolts and tighten them evenly according to the recommended torque specifications.
Check that both chainrings are correctly aligned before completing installation.
Mounting Bolts and Tightening Torque
Standard mounting bolts are provided free of charge.
Recommended Tightening Torque: 6–8 N·m
Excessive tightening torque may damage the bolts, threads, or mounting components. Use an appropriate torque wrench and follow the crankset manufacturer's installation instructions.
Precision Component Notice
Chainring bolts are precision components. Incorrect installation, cross-threading, or overtightening may cause damage.
Damage resulting from improper installation is subject to the applicable warranty terms.
Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with chainring installation.
